Good morning sistas!
So, I guess my day of rest was exactly what I needed. I'm up and feeling almost "normal" again today. Big improvement over yesterday! And Butch says he is feeling better today, too. I guess we're both on the mend!
Well, I didn't get one darn thing done yesterday. I spent the entire day in bed! When I did get up around 7 p.m. I watched TV and crocheted until 1 a.m. Not exactly a productive day, huh? SO that means I have to hit it hard today. SO much to do.
First thing on the list this morning is Benny's stocking! I have to sew it up and then take it to Christie's house. Mike's parents arrive tomorrow and I don't want to interfere with their family day tomorrow. Mike is so excited that his family is coming. I'm really happy for him.
I also have to stop in at Wal Mart (I know, I know--I'm crazy!!!) on my way home. I ordered a child sized wheel barrow for Benny and it's ready to be picked up. That is going to be an adventure for sure today.
I also have some cooking to do. We have eaten just about all of the "test" batches of nuts that I made. Time to make the treats that I'm putting in the little tins I bought. I need to take those to Christie's house, too, so she can give them next week. Babysitter, teachers, bosses, etc. She has a ton of folks to thank this year. I know she doesn't have the money to buy little gifts for everyone, so I don't mind doing the gift tins. Besides, I have all these pecans! LOL!
I still have a few presents to wrap and then I have to clean, clean, clean! Trust me. My house is NOT ready for company!
Hope everyone is on the road to recovery today. Eileen and Judy--y'all had better get well, you hear? No one is allowed to be sick for Christmas! Judy, so glad your mom got to go home. Prayers continue for her and everyone here.
Love you all!
Vickie...it is so good to know that you and Butch are both feeling better today!! I was really worried about you!!! I am also happy you stayed in bed and did nothing yesterday!!!!!
UGH...WALMART on the Saturday before Christmas!!! You better wear a helmet and knee pads!!! All the crazies will be out!!! I know Benny will love his wheel barrow!! I hope he doesn't get too wild putting Budder in it for rides....LOL!!
I am sure you will be cooking/baking up a bunch today!! Have fun bet please remember to rest in between batches!
That is so nice of you to make gifts for Carrie to give out. I am sure she appreciates it very much!!
I am so glad Mike's family will be able to make it there tomorrow. I can see why he will be happy to have them there!! A lot in his life has changed in the last couple years...for the good of course!! He is a pretty proud daddy to both the boys!!
Lots of love and many hugs to you....connie d

Judy...I am so glad you are feeling much better today. Keep taking good care of yourself. You know I have been worried!
I was going to post a silly joke but I won't. You don't need a coughing fit!! I agree the cat ones are funny. I love the one with the cat on the ice trying to catch the fish under the ice. I watched that one a couple times!!
Think hard about going to BINGO. Think of how many of those people will be sick. I never have had a problem walking in a bar alone. People do know you there. I just want you to not have a relapse. NO being sick on Christmas...Vickie said so!!!!
You go ahead and wash the gray right out of your hair...LOL!!!
More love and hugs...connie d
Connie I am going....asked Rick if he wanted to go and he said no take Pat so I am...nobody sits by me anyhow so I am safe...its only Pat that will be near me. Plus I will have a good stiff drink while there!!! That will also help me...hahahaha!!!
I saw that one of the cat chasing the fish under the ice!!! LMAO!! I was actually waiting for the ice to break...yikes!! Glad it didn't!!
Hair came out nice!!! Now to get it cut from Steve when we get home...IF he remembers to bring his cutting tools!!! LOL
HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Happy Birthday Carla,
It's great that you can be with Miss Vinnie on your birthday. I love celebrating with my Munchkins. Be careful driving home. I hate driving in the Winter.
As for me, I got my puter back up 100%. Hallelujah!
I got my Christmas cards to be mailed, out in the mail this morning. Jo, I don't have your mailing address. If you could PM me, or email it to me [email protected], I would appreciate it.
Today, I have more cards to do for church, and then tidying, and crocheting to do. This afternoon is the Eagles game They better win.
Got a double whammy of sad news yesterday. First, my high school best friend died yesterday. We met in seventh grade, and grew close over those turbulent teen years. She was diagnosed with cancer a few weeks ago, and was told they couldn't do anything, because it was all through her body. We lost touch for years, saw each other at our 10 year reunion, and then reconnected on Facebook. She never married, or had kids.
Then, my dear friend, Ruth, who buried her daughter to melanoma in August, who has been battling cancer for a very long time, is very sick with pneumonia, and another infection, at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. Please, please, please pray for her. She was my spiritual mentor, and got me through the toughest times, especially my divorce.
Love and Prayers,
Trish
